Pain intervention is a modality for treating pain apart from conventional and operative pain management.  Pain intervention is a minimally invasive procedure, including the placement of drugs in the target area using a needle or ablation of the target nerves, joints, musculoskeletal and other structures that cause and are involved in the process of pain.
