The Lactation Clinic is a clinic that provides lactation-related services to prospective mothers/mothers both during pregnancy and during breastfeeding during the postpartum period. The Lactation Clinic functions as health and educational services for pregnant women and nursing mothers. Various issues related to breastfeeding that can be handled at the clinic include breastfeeding problems during the antenatal period, the postpartum period, breastfeeding for mothers who need treatment, and breastfeeding problems for babies. Health and education services at the Lactation Clinic include: 1. Assessment of breastfeeding history, 2. Examination of the mother's breasts, 3. Mother's feelings and motivation to breastfeed her baby, 4. Maternal health conditions and family planning, 5. As well as the health and behavior of the baby. Furthermore, the breastfeeding process will be observed by lactation counselors, namely the anatomical appearance of the mother's breast, the position and attachment of the baby during breastfeeding, the baby's response to looking for the nipple (rooting reflex), and emotional connection (bonding). The Lactation Clinic is managed by trained personnel who have the skills to examine the condition of the breasts, provide counseling on the benefits of breastfeeding and the disadvantages of formula feeding, provide explanations and solutions related to breastfeeding problems faced by babies and mothers, as well as nutritional consultations for babies, pregnant and lactating women .
